Ghanaian musician Kweysi Swat has swept awards at the last Western Music Awards (WMA’22) held in the Western Region capital, Sekondi-Takoradi.
He bagged the Highlife Song of the Year and Song Writer of the Year awards with his song titled ‘In Your Hands’, capping it with the Highlife Artiste of the Year award.
The number of awards he picked, 3, is only second to that of the Artiste of the Year, a category many believe he should have featured in.
The Takoradi-born artiste also put up a spectacular performance on the night to the admiration of all.
Other performers on the night were by the legendary Shasha Marley, Amy Newman, Keche, among others.
Separately, Kweysi Swat, who has grown a penchant for addressing social-economic issues in society, has visited the Western Region Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, to present his awards to him.
The delighted minister, who doubles as MP for Takoradi Constituency, encouraged him to keep doing his very best to promote the region.
